Jeremy Guillory, a former Cruise employee, left the company in 2013. After being acquired by GM this year, Guillory got in touch with current company brass and asked how much he would be receiving from the buy out price. GM reportedly paid $1 billion to purchase the company, which will help develop an autonomous Chevrolet Bolt EV.
Cruise offered Guillory $4.5 million to drop the lawsuit and sign an agreement, and followed with a lawsuit, stating he owned no stock, made no investments and held no patents. Guillory filed a counter-suit against Cruise Automation, according to The Detroit Free Press.
Lawyers did not offer any specifics into the details, and did not say how much Guillory would be receiving, but merely stated the lawsuits had been fully settled.
