If you remember, Opel brought its clientele to design the next great special editions of Opel Adam. Now, the internet has chosen winners for each of the 12 countries involved in the process.
Opel states 100,000 styles of Adam were created by users at adamyourself.com. Ten lifestyle bloggers then chose winning designs to represent each country accordingly before the finalists head off to Berlin this month for an exclusive winners’ event at an exclusive “Adam Loft.”
“With #ADAMyourself we went straight to where the Adam clientele is – the internet. The young bloggers were always part of the action and posted a lot of fun and interesting stories about our bold city car on social media channels. And the community submitted a total of over 2.6 million votes for the different Adam designs. The campaign is the best example of how much enthusiasm the car and lifestyle combination can create – and how individuals can make their dream car become reality,” says Elsa Touchard, brand manager strategy and sponsoring, about the online campaign’s success to date.
Each country’s design has a theme, such as Germany’s “Red Velvet Cake”, or Ireland’s “TTYL, Gone For A Cuppa.” That’s European millennial speak for, “see you later, I’m going to grab a cup of tea.”
Each winner will also become the face of their Opel Adam for promotional activity and advertising.
Opel will produce each special edition for each individual country this coming fall.
