Opel continues to pack a punch with content in its vehicles. This time, the Opel Adam has received the latest technology in the form of wireless phone charging. The brand announced the technology will be available on nearly the entire Adam lineup, from the Adam Jam, to the Adam Rocks and the Adam S.
“Our award-winning, smartphone-compatible IntelliLink infotainment technology made its premiere in the Opel Adam, which is the perfect example of how much individuality and technology can be packed into a small car. And now with wireless charging as well as Opel OnStar, we are taking successful lifestyle mini to an even higher level,” says Peter Christian Küspert, Vice President Sales and Aftersales Opel Group.
The system is entirely compatible with Qi and Powermat interface standards, and sits past the gear selector in the center console. Drivers may still enjoy all the connectivity features found in the Opel Adam as the phone charges via Bluetooth signals.
The feature will be an affordable one, too. Opel states the option may be had for merely €135 over the starting price of the Adam.
