Opel has broken ground on its latest facility to house spare parts and to improve logistics within the brand. The new building site, located on Opel’s grounds in Bochum-Landendreer, will be home to more than 100,000 different part items.
The new construction will be a step to further Opel customer service, and ensure parts reach customers in a timely fashion.
“Spare parts logistics are one of our key competences,” emphasized Peter Christian Küspert, Vice President Sales & Aftersales Opel Group . “Ensuring fast and smooth parts supply for Opel drivers is an important component of customer satisfaction.”
The project will be completed by building contractors Goldbeck, which specializes in industrial facilities. Goldbeck will be responsible for all engineering services from planning to building including the technical building systems.
