We’ve seen photos and video of the upcoming 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, though, only in coupe form. Have no fear drop-top enthusiasts, because Motor Trend has spied the convertible variant of ZL1 testing with heavily camouflage.
The photos once again show a more protruding front lip, multi-spoke wheels and a taller rear spoiler, too. Likely, everything place under the camo is for even greater aerodynamics.
There has been no official word as to what will power the 2017 Camaro ZL1 yet, but, the 6.2-liter LT4 supercharged V8 seems like the go-to choice, which also finds homes in the 2016 C7 Corvette Z06 and 2016 Cadillac CTS-V.
Currently, Dodge holds the crown in the horsepower wars among The Big Three, cranking out 707 hp with the Charger and Challenger Hellcat duo. It seems unlikely the Camaro team would massage the LT4 to make more power than the halo-wearing Corvette Z06, but never say never.
