Pirelli World Challenge officials have rescheduled last Sunday’s cancelled race at Belle Isle for Friday, June 26 at Road America. The change adds a third race to the DeVilbiss Elkhart Lake Grand Prix presented by Cadillac, giving race fans in Wisconsin a triple dose of sports car action in one weekend.
The second race of the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix was cancelled due to inclement weather. Promoters decided not to run the event due to reduced track visibility and their desire to keep all drivers and Detroit Grand Prix track workers safe. Cadillac Racing, the reigning champs at Belle Isle, were unable to pull out a win in Round 1 of the double header weekend, with the overall victory going to K-Pax Racing’s Kevin Estre in his McLaren 650S GT3.
Round 11 of the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge will go green on Friday, June 26, with Rounds 12 and 13 taking place on the Saturday and Sunday.
