Vauxhall has tasked an all-new team of 11 fleet managers with supporting smaller fleets consisting of 25-99 cars, improving its UK ‘True Fleet’ market share. The new field-based fleet managers will work in tandem with eachother to manage 100 plus small fleets, ensuring all of the automaker’s small business customers get “a uniformly high level of service.”
In addition to hiring on new fleet managers to support this intiative, Vauxhall has also updated its fleet sales website with a number of new features. A new “Fleet Knowledge Area” of the site has video content and articles that will help fleet decision makers to better understand their businesses needs when choosing fleet vehicles. There’s also “Whole Life Cost and Company Car Tax Calculators” on the site, which can be accessed through the user’s smartphone or tablet.
“I’m delighted to launch this package of support for smaller businesses,” Vauxhall’s Fleet Sales Director, James Taylor, said in a statement. “We know that these businesses have slightly different requirements than larger, more structured fleets and we really want to show that we can offer them the right flexibility in terms of their overall fleet package. We truly believe that supporting these businesses directly with the manufacturer is the best way forward as we can integrate them into all the initiatives and programmes we offer. In turn, we hope to reap the rewards of this investment as part of our overall fleet strategy.”
