The readers of AutoGuide.com have voted the 2015 Cadillac Escalade as their Reader’s Choice Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year for 2014. AG readers voted for their most preferred vehicle in a variety of categories including Truck of the Year, Car of the Year, Sports Car of the year, Utility Vehicle of the year, Luxury Car of the Year and Green Car of the Year.
The 2015 Escalade went on sale in the beginning of the second-quarter and brought with it General Motors’ new 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8, a vastly overhauled exterior and a more upscale, luxurious interior. It was up against competitive offerings for Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year, such as the Porsche Macan, Lincoln MKC, BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
AutoGuide reviewed the 2015 Escalade earlier this year, saying “the new version of this heavy-hitting utility vehicle is more refined and upscale than ever, coddling passengers with a world-class cabin and entertaining drivers with a refined and vocally talented powertrain.”
The 2015 Escalade recently received important interim updates in the way of GM’s new 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission, OnStar’s 4G LTE Wi Fi hotspot, a wireless charging system and more.
