First, Chevy introduced the GMI700-based 2012 Chevy Colorado for all markets except North America. Two years later, The Bowtie brought the Colorado to North America. Although the two midsize pickup trucks share the same name, they possess several mechanical and styling differences that make them rather different vehicles.
Nonetheless, we decided to venture overseas and check out what exterior colors Chevy offers on the International-market Colorado. As it turns out, Chevy offers the Colorado in seven different color choices overseas, including:
- Auburn Brown
- Black Sapphire
- Oceanic Blue
- Orange Rock
- Royal Grey
- Sizzle Red
- Switchblade Silver
Out of all the hues available on the International-market Colorado, the one that really caught our attention is Orange Rock, which became available for the 2014 model year Colorado in Thailand.
By comparison, the U.S.-market Colorado has ten color choices, since Rally Yellow and Laser Blue have been added to the online configurator the week of October 13th.
As always, vote your favorite color on the International-market Colorado in the poll below. And while you’re doing that, we’ll sit here and ponder the reason that the color palettes for the Colorados aren’t identical across the globe.
