Automotive Journalist Sarah Sauer from The Fast Lane Daily did this video of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette in Germany, and it seems that the Germans are loving America’s quintessential sports car.
As Sauer says in the video, there exists a stigma in Germany against American sportscars, as the Deutsch often take umbrage with the overall quality of American products, as well as our cars’ ability to perform in anything but a straight line. She apologizes to her American audience before saying this, but we find the apology unnecessary; by and large, the stigma against American sportscars is well-deserved.
Thus, the young Journalist is pleasantly astounded at the proper good looks, quality, and performance of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette. The car is also a bit of a novelty on German streets, as prior generations of Corvette never sold in particularly large volume in Europe, so they remain a rarity.
This presentation of a German perspective of America’s finest sportscar is a great watch, and very refreshing news for fans of the marque. It’s very welcome to see an audience as discerning as the German people enjoying a car from the United States.
And if you’re not a fan of the Corvette, it’s still worth a watch just for Sarah Sauer’s positively adorable German accent.
