Hennessey Performance Engineering has been touting its performance packages available for General Motors‘ full-size trucks and SUVs all year, with the latest addition to their lineup being the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban. The Texas-based tuning company already showed what its package available for the smaller 5.3-liter equipped Tahoe can do, but had yet to apply it to the elongated Suburban.
The Suburban package consists of a 1.9-liter supercharger system with a high flow intercooler, HPE engine management calibration and dyno tuning. Hennessey claims the package makes 508 horsepower at 5,250 RPM, which as we found out when they dyno’d the Tahoe, results in 396 horsepower and 435 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.
Hennessey keeps the exterior modifications to a minimum with this particular vehicle, adding ‘HPE500’ badges and an HPE dash and engine plaque, which are options. Good thing, because we like this Suburban just the way it looks with the stock 22-inch wheels and Black paint. For more photos, head over to Hennessey’s Facebook page.
