Most of the eBay cars we feature at GM Authority are of a decent quality but, trust us, we have to sift through a lot of crud to find the right car. This time, we’ll show you the other side of eBay with this 1979 Camaro.
Seller says, “Basically a rolling chassis. No engine, transmission or interior,” and he ain’t kidding. While it looks ratty, (s)he claims that there are “solid body parts [with] no big dents.” And for those of you with experience in buying/selling, this Camaro has no title. So who would want this car when there are so many better ones on eBay?
Well, this Camaro is ripe for the guy or gal with imagination. With the aftermarket beginning to reproduce parts for this generation Camaro, not to mention a decent supply of parts already existing, this vehicle is ready for some hot-rodding treatment. Rat rod drag car? Pro touring? Or just take it to a corner of Queens and see what the locals do to it? The Camaro has potential, but is it worth $500 to you?
