The German-language commercial begins with Messner planning out an expedition, but instead of pulling up a map of Mt. Everest or one of the other treacherous parts of the world Messner is known for exploring, he has Opel Vivaro blueprints. Messner and his accompanying Sherpa then embark on their exploration of the Vivaro’s spacious cabin via the rear double doors.
“The Vivaro is much more than a commercial vehicle. It is a big, safe companion and worth being explored. Our campaign ‘Umparken im Kopf’ is also valid for commercial vehicles which we have demonstrated in a fun way with Reinhold Messner”, said Opel marketing officer Tina Müller.
Opel says the new Vivaro commercial is “the next step in the longstanding relationship between Reinhold Messner and Opel.” Messner also served as a brand ambassador for the Opel Corsa in 1997 and is currently the proud owner of an Opel Ampera extended-range EV.
