We have seen more than one round of spy photos of the 2015 Opel Corsa hatchback, but every time it has been spotted out in the wild, its body was veiled with the spy photographer’s worst enemy, camouflage. But now, thanks to AutoEvolution, we can see the German brand’s upcoming compact in its entirety.
The spy photos were shot while the new Corsa was out on its first official photoshoot. The overall profile of the car remains, however the body is more sculpted and as expected, pulls styling cues from the sleek and stylish Monza Concept. The front fascia also borrows styling cues from the Adam city car, while the rear is more akin to the Astra hatchback.
AE says the new Corsa will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this October, at which point in time Opel will reveal to the public the car’s engine options. These include the 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged engine available in the Adam, in both 90 and 115 horsepower guises, and possibly other more powerful options from the General Motors’ new line of Ecotec engines.
Other changes for the new Corsa include a completely revised interior, freshened up with more soft touch materials, a new steering wheel which it will share with the upcoming D2XX-based Chevrolet Cruze and a new color touch screen. The car will also be available with OnStar’s 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot system.
