Hennessey Performance Engineering has promised a 2014 Corvette Stingray with twin turbochargers and 1,000 horsepower since February of this year. We haven’t seen nor heard much about the maniacal HPE1000 Corvette, until now.
The Texas based tuner has released a full parts list for its HPE1000 package, of which only 12 will be built for 2014. The tune includes twin ball bearing turbochargers, forged steel rods and crankshaft, a custom HPE camshaft, forged aluminium pistons and much, much more. Hennessey claims the HPE1000 Corvette will make 1,000 bhp at 6,300 rpm. It might also scare grown men half to death.
Amazingly, you don’t have to sacrifice reliability for astronomical power, because Hennessey offers a 1 year, 12, 000 mile warranty on the car. Check out the full list of upgrades over on Hennessey’s website. Then after, check your underwear.
