BJ Baldwin and Eric Vigouroux are no strangers to off-road racing. Baldwin has won four off-road racing championships in the last six years while Vigoroux has won almost every rally race he’s entered over last four years, including the 2012 Rally of Morocco. Both these drivers are no strangers to the infamous Dakar Rally, putting them in contention for the top spot at next year’s race.
Eric Vigouroux Racing has teamed up with Jeffries Racing to build the EVR Proto VX1 Rally Raid Concept. Styled to look like the global-market Chevrolet Colorado, the Proto VX1 utilizes a 7.0 liter LS7 tuned by Corvette Racing paired to a Fortin sequential gearbox.
Baldwin will pilot one Proto VX1 with Vigoroux piloting the other when the Dakar Rally begins on January 5.
