Toyo Tires always brings a sweet offering of custom vehicles to the SEMA show in Las Vegas, and what better car to be the centerpiece of their display than the 2014 Corvette Stingray? Forgiato is doing it, so why not Toyo?
Of course, this is the SEMA show, so it won’t be just any ordinary Corvette. Designed by Michigan based design house TZD, the P58 Concept Stingray, as its being referred to, will feature a full carbon fiber aerodynamics package including a front splitter, rocker panels, and rear wing. The car also features 20 inch front and 21 inch rear Vossen Monoblock wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes T1R tires.
The 450 horsepower the C7 boasts from the factory must have been a bit limp for GM tuner Pfadt, who bumped the power up to 580 for this car. We couldn’t find much info on what’s been done to the LT1 V8, but if Pfadt’s website is any indication, then the P58 treatment will add a cold air intake, Tri-Y headers, a Pfadt engine remap, camshafts, and sport tuned exhaust.
We’ll add this one to the list of Chevys to keep an eye out for at our visit to this year’s SEMA show.
