Fact: the Chevrolet Tahoe and its larger sibling, the Suburban, account for nearly one in every two full size SUV sales in the state of Texas. Broken down, the Tahoe accounts for 30% of all full size SUV sales in the state, with the suburban accounting for 15% of the market. Nationally, Houston is the No. 1 market overall for the Tahoe and Suburban, with the Dallas-Fort Worth area being number 2. This bodes well for the next-generation line of Suburban and Tahoe launching in Q1 2014.
The sales can’t just be coincidental as the Suburban and Tahoe are made at the Arlington Assembly plant in Arlington, TX. Speaking of Texas, GM Authority was just there for the unveil of the Chevrolet’s new 2015 Silverado Heavy Duty trucks.
