Edmunds has ranked the best used cars by segment based on reliability, safety, value and availability. Eligibility for the list is limited to cars sold between 2006 and 2011, as anything older will have too many miles and new cars will not have depreciated enough to make them good value.
So what’s the best used, two seat sports car you can currently buy? According to Edmunds, it’s the C6 Corvette, and it’s the only GM vehicle on the list. Edmunds says “bang for the buck” might as well be trademarked to the Corvette, and we agree with them. Supercar levels of performance and relative affordability help the C6’s case here. And while the 2014 Corvette shadows it entirely, the C6 has a nicer interior, improved build quality and more power than the C5 Corvette it replaced. In the C6, one can keep pace with exotics without the rock-star budget.
