Here we see a C2 Corvette Grand Sport barreling through a rally stage in East Africa. There’s a sentence I thought I’d never write.
Dutch tuning shop Tachyon Motorsport modified this Corvette C2 Grand Sport to be competitive on the rally stages of East Africa. Michiel Campagne and Mike van Thiel will drive the car in the East African Safari Classic in Kenya, starting on November 21 and ending on November 29. The engine underneath that snout of a hood is a 6.2L V8.
The charismatic C2 Corvette will definitely stand out amongst its competition, of which are mostly Porsche 911 models and Ford Escorts. Tachyon Motorsport has conducted several shakedowns in Africa ahead of the race, the last of which will happen in Kenya in late October.
