Corvette Blogger has seemingly stumbled across a GM media site Easter Egg, discovering a pair of PDF documents that disclose higher horsepower and torque ratings than the 450 hp and 450 lb.-ft. that were originally estimated for the 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray. According to the PDF, the updated ratings are 455 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque.
So, that if those numbers are on point, and the 3,298-pound curb weight is accurate, then the 2014 Corvette Stingray features nearly
312 275.9 horsepower per ton, a decent improvement over the 295 268.1 hp per ton featured in the outgoing Corvette C6. And this is just the base model we’re talking about.
