This Opel Astra Ad Is Like Oceans 11… But With An Opel: Ad Break

Anyone who enjoyed Oceans 11 is sure to love this commercial for the Opel Astra. Set in an exotic setting, the ad features the five-door Astra hatch, along with George Clooney and Brad Pitt lookalikes running a heist of The Bad Guy’s casino. As you’d expect, a pretty girl is involved, while the clip has a mix of Dutch and English:

We love this kind of advertising: it’s comical, it tells a story, and it still accomplishes the goal of showing viewers the product and showing off its various features (AFL, Opel Eye, etc.)… only that they don’t feel like they’ve just watched a commercial.

Also, it looks like the driving part of the ad was filmed in Yalta (Ukraine). Now, why can’t GM have similar ads for its products in the U.S.?
