The design of the 2014 Corvette C7 could possibly qualify for GM’s, and possibly the entire internet’s, worst kept secret. We’re not really complaining, though. In fact we like what we’ve seen so far. And in case you’ve been skeptical of illustrations, the detailed sketch above is allegedly directly from GM’s dealer service web portal that subsequently found its way to Facebook.
The photo in question is a graphic to explain the installation of the front brake cooling deflector kit for Certified Service workers. And it seems the front fascia of the new ‘Vette is nearly identical to renderings from independent outlets like Jalopnik and Car & Driver.
From the graphic, we can clearly see a hood with a prominent extractor in the center, while the head lights are taller and narrower than before. Meanwhile, the grille opens up wider just like in the spy photos and we also get a pretty thorough sketch of the front suspension and brakes. But these lines can only do so much justice to the C7’s design, and we therefore must wait until we see the new machine in the sheetmetal to really gauge how it looks.
