Hennessey Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Achieves 203.9 MPH On Texas Toll Road (Video)

As a bonus to the Hennessey Cadillac VR1200 CTS-V blasting through the latest stretch of Texas roadwork, a 701-horsepower Chevrolet Camaro HPE700 ZL1 tuned by Hennessey also gave it a go. The car was driven by Brian Smith in an effort to test the toll-tag cameras on what is now the fastest road in America – the new SH130 toll road near Austin, Texas. It’s not 220.5 miles per hour, but lets be honest, 203.9 miles per hour is pretty damn fast.
Of course, testing was conducted before the road opened and the path was both clear and supervised by the Texas Department of Transportation.
