Little Chevrolet Spark Was The Fastest Selling Car In July

2013 Chevrolet Spark

Only available in 18 key markets in the United States, and not even being on sale for a full month, Chevrolet sold 1,460 Sparks in July. While it’s still far from being the number one selling vehicle in America, the 2013 Chevrolet Spark took only an average of four days to turn a sale. As for June’s fastest seller, the Cadillac XTS, it was no. 5 in July, needing just 14 days to turn.

Right out of the gate, the Chevrolet Spark is seeing success. But we’re going to have to wait and see if the market will continue sparking for the Spark.

I sat in one of these while I was waiting for an oil change for my Cruze. I really liked it! More then the Sonic that was sitting beside it. It seemed like a nicer interior with a nice big touch screen in the dash.

Hmmm. Would like to see private v fleet breakdown. This is not a car I can see private buyers/first adopter types getting all excited for.

I’m surprised as well. I would’ve never considered one in the first place, and, after seeing one today for the first time, I think it’s far less appealing in person. If it turns out to be a hit, say a year and a half from now, I’ll be completely shocked.

I JUST saw one today, and I thought “Wow, someone in my area already bought one?” Well what do you know? It’s selling like hot cakes.

I think people have been waiting a long time for this and now the time has finally arrived and they are running out and getting there spark on… Many people like small efficient cars, although I think this should be much more efficient then it is…

I would like to test drive one at my local GM dealer in Puerto Rico. The Fiat 500, the Smart, Scion, and other “city cars” are sold well here, but I expect the Chevy Spark to beat them. I also expect to test drive the EV version, too.

Great car! I am enjoying its surprising headroom and smooth shifting. Naturally I am delighted with the 40+ mpg. At 60 mph I get the most efficient mpg…in short trips mixed city driving 36. My salsa Red has gotten me several interested questions. Two just yesterday.
