Chevy Is One Of The Things That Brings Us Together: Ad Break

Chevy Commercial - Things That Bring Us Together

This ad is a great reminder that despite our differences (especially in light of the upcoming presidential election) we are all after the same things in life — and Chevy is proud of the fact that it has been bringing people together for over 100 years by creating cars and trucks that make sense for each of us, today and into the future:

Here’s the full ad transcript:

What do we all really want? The chance to be ourselves. To be appreciated for what we are. The opportunity to succeed in a fair and open world. Some have created that opportunity to succeed with personal sacrifice. Some have created it with new laws. At Chevrolet, we try to do our part by creating the promise of a car that makes sense for each of us today and into the future. Because we believe that the things that unite us run deeper than the things that divide us. And for over 100 years, we’re proud to be one of those things that brings us together.

I’ve never been a fan of the “Chevy Runs Deep” tagline, or Tim Allen’s work in most of these things, but that was powerful. Was Eastwood’s “Halftime” commercial better? Maybe, but it was twice as long.

I hope they can keep up this momentum with Ewanick now gone (I don’t think they can, but time will tell).

Reminds me of the Anerica at halftime ads.
Can we have the heartbeat adverts again?
