2014 Chevrolet Impala To Feature Brand-First Safety Features

2014 Chevy Impala - scaled

Along with the all-new Impala comes all-new safety features for the Chevrolet brand. Along with featuring the obligatory 10 standard airbags, blind-zone and rear-cross traffic alert systems, and a backup camera, the all-new Impala will introduce a full-speed adaptive cruise control system, plus a radar-based collision mitigation braking system to Chevy buyers for the first time ever.

As if the hot looks weren’t enough, these new features will hopefully act as a sort of USP for the 2014 Impala. However, it was not specified if these new features would be standard. And we know it’s not a safety feature, and not that we’re the types to advocate lazier driving, but how about some self parking assist? Honestly, if a Ford Focus offers it, a big Impala should have it standard, even if it’s just to say so.

A ford Focus is made for parking. Chevrolet is made for driving.

How does the Malibu and Impala look so different? They were made about the same time, like a year or so, but look completely different. They were made by the same design team, right?

GM wisdom seeker, yes they probably were designed by the same team, and they are built in the same factory if i’m not mistakin, but chevrolet doesnt really have a full line design philosophy. Actually there really is no way to tell if a car is a chevrolet except for the dual element taillights and the bowtie.

I’m a Chevy girl first of all will not own anything else. I like the new Chevy Impala’s but…1) need more colors. 2) the steering wheel should be half woodgrain, as well as the design trimming on dash. 3) Interior design should have also a choice of Bone leather seats and Brown trimming around the edges. 4) Exterior should have a Pretty Pearl color that sparkles when the sun shines on it. 5) 19 inch rims the 17 inch rims do not would not do this car justice. 5). The sunroof should be a basic package. I can deal with the back it’s not so bad, it’s just different, but I can live with that. GM why don’t you let me do your commercial for you, I’m a consumer that actually is waiting to buy this car when it comes out in the Spring of 2014. Celebrity can only sell their name to your car. Like Shack in the Buick Lacrosse commerical he really looked ridiculous in that car. He was too big and tall. Please use people that actually buy American made cars.
    Thank you

NO, we do not need automatic parallel parking. Mandating foo-foo options as standards only serves to drive up costs. MANDATORY features such as rear camera and TPMS … are more examples of features most people will not use.
