General Motors will announce its financial results for the first quarter of 2012 on Thursday, May 3rd. Last quarter, the company reported $38.0 billion in revenue and $500 million in net income, with earnings per share coming in at $0.28 per fully diluted share.
In the trading session ending Thursday April 12, The General’s stock had a trade volume of 5.04 million shares, less than the 9.15 million average. The shares ended the trading day at $24.30, or a $0.27 gain, but after hours trading brought share price up to $24.35, or an additional $0.05.
In addition, GM’s share price tumbled nearly 10 percent in early April after not meeting analysts’ sales expectations for the month of March.
