When people think of designer clothing, the coveted brands that come to mind usually include Armani, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and the like. These names have been around for a while, and have developed perceptions of desire. Maybe it’s because they’re European — much like people seek out European luxury car brands over American ones. Or maybe it’s because there hasn’t been much selection from America. Recently, however, a new American clothing company has shaken up the fashion industry: BLK Denim. Similarly, Cadillac has been making a statement in the luxury segment with cars like the CTS-V, Ciel Concept and upcoming ATS. Fittingly, the two have announced a partnership to launch a fashion line that will compete with Porsche and BMW in a completely different spectrum from the road and track.
Set for release this summer season, the BLK Denim-Cadillac line will offer everything from jeans, to shoes, to hats. Cadillac has also informed us that there will be a fashion show and after-party in May in Detroit to celebrate the launch of the line.
Update: APRIL FOOLS, FOOL!
