If you’re at all familiar with the roads in San Francisco, chances are you’re aware of Lombard Street — which is claimed to be the most crooked lay of road… in the world.
Since it’s famous, it’s been extensively decorated with pretty flowers, making the driving experience more like a trek through a botanical garden. And if you’re enjoying the scenery a bit too much, stuff like this happens. Or, if you’re trying to avoid a car full of distracted tourists — as the driver of the Buick LaCrosse claimed in the San Francisco Chronicle — the most crooked road in the world briefly turned into one of the most crooked water fountains in the world, colliding with a fire hydrant, causing water to gush out 14 feet in the air. Sounds like a MacGyver log flume to us.
