If there was ever a noticeable element missing from German motorsports, it’s that there simply aren’t enough American pony cars. Hans Reiter and his company Sareni United aim to change that with their Chevrolet Camaro GT3 race car. This track monster has already been approved by the FIA, and is powered by an enormous 7.9-liter Katech V8 engine that is rated up to 650 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque, among all of all the other necessarily modifications needed for racing.
Reiter hopes that his Camaro GT3 will attract new teams on a budget, and so far two cars have been sold at €195,000 + VAT ($253,056 U.S.). They will make their debuts in Germany’s ADAC GT Masters series. In addition, some requests have been made for GT4-spec cars, so we may see more diversity from the Sareni United garage, possibly just in time for racing season.
