OnStar has come a long way since it was first established in 1995. With currently around six million subscribers, a presence in China, a smartphone app and its new FMV system, the name has become synonymous with being a leader in automotive safety and telecommunications. And in a report from Automotive News, the brand now plans on expanding even further to the reaches of both the Middle East and Latin America regions of the world, with others under close consideration.
There’s no word on a timetable for the the two regions, so expect a set date to be announced in the future.
