Chevrolet is looking to further separate the upcoming Sonic subcompact from the rest of the pack by offering access to Spotify, an award-winning digital music service that has already been utilized by over 10 million Europeans (and their funny accents) that has finally crossed the Atlantic.
Chevy is also currently the only automotive brand in the United States to endorse Spotify, which in effect shows great eagerness for the brand to stay ahead of the curve. Stateside listeners can get their Spotify fix by joining the service with a free, $5 or $10 monthly plan. What’s more, the first 150,000 requests received through the Chevrolet Sonic tab on Chevy’s Facebook page will receive an invitation to Spotify’s free on-demand streaming of one of the world’s biggest music libraries.
