During some intense Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car racing at Road America, something happened to Günter Shaldach and the Chevrolet Camaro he was driving. In a bizarre event, Shaldach seemed to be a victim of a stuck throttle, causing him to careen into a Mazda RX-8 in front of him, and continue on through the sand pit only to collide into the tire wall and bound over the course’s barrier fence.
Fellow team driver Oliver Gavin (also of Corvette Racing) says in the video that Shaldach had pushed the brake pedal as far as it would go, but clearly that didn’t help.
