
The Opel and Vauxhall badges have not been represented in motorsports for quite some time. In the case of World Rally Championship, it’s been nearly 30 years since any General Motors Europe brand entered the competition. But GM Europe president Nick Reilly has noticed the young audience following the WRC and believes that a representation from either Opel or Vauxhall would increase the attention and consumer base of young buyers. Other racing circuits such as the World Touring Car Championship, Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, and even the British Touring Championship are being considered as well. Here they are ladies and gents – the latest brand-by-brand numbers of General Motors’ sales results for the month of October. GM posted a 3 percent year-over-year sales increase for the month of October, selling 183,392 vehicles. Brand results in the U.S. is as follows:

That’s the opening line of Chevy’s newest commercial promoting the bow tie brand’s environmentally-friendly nature. As you may imagine, the ad mentions Chevrolet’s “greenest” vehicles such as the Volt and Cruze, while reminding viewers of GM’s newest environmental effort to invest in the cleanup of eight million metric tons of carbon footprint.
