Well looky here. Autoblog’s spy photographers were able to capture a bunch of camo’d 2011 Chevy Aveo hatchbacks along with what is possibly a sedan version of the same car. Aside from some patent renderings, we haven’t seen (or heard) anything about the bow tie brand’s completely redesigned Aveo sedan. So if the vehicle in the spy pics is, in fact, the non-hatchback variant of the Gamma II-based Aveo, this may be the very first time we’ve ever seen it. Continue reading.

Chevrolet Cruze buyers in the UK will now be able to spec out their bow tie-wearing compact sedan with a souped-up suspension, rear spoiler, and contrasting wheels – all right from the factory. That’s right folks, no dealer or aftermarket trickery here. The mods give the Cruze a look that resembles the Silverline Cruze speeding through the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). Those who remember these very first spy photos of GM’s next-generation small pickup or patent drawings from General Motors last month will immediately recognize that this pickup truck is the very same Colorado/Canyon replacement we’ve been keeping track of.
Though this truck is intended for the global market, it’s almost a given that it will not be sold in the US of A or Canada. Moreover, this next-gen truck will share next to nothing with the outgoing Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon models, will be assembled in Thailand, and – from the looks of the patent drawings – will wear a similar fascia as the Chevrolet Equinox. Just when we thought GM has decided to not purchase or build its own finance arm, our favorite automaker has announced that it will acquire AmeriCredit. The move is expected to help consumers with tarnished credit get loans, increase the amount of leases provided to buyers, supply dealers with another borrowing option for their inventory, and strengthen GM’s public stock offering. GM CEO and Chairman Ed Whitacre expects the $3.5 billion purchase to close by the end of this year. Continue Reading.
