Throw a stone and watch the ripples flow: following the announcement Friday that it will shut down Saab, GM has received a number of inquiries in relation to the Swedish auto maker.

Besides for Spyker’s revised offer early Sunday morning, we don’t know who else sent in a proposal/offer, but whoever did has prompted GM to issue the following statement:

Following Friday’s announcement that GM will begin the orderly wind down of Saab, GM has received inquiries from several parties. We will evaluate each inquiry. We will not comment further until these evaluations have been completed.

Looks like there’s hope for Saab after all! That’s good news for all Saab fans, employees, and enthusiasts (this humble blogger included).
